Bread Barbershop is a hilarious new animated sitcom for 6-10 kids which hit the Global Top 10 on Netflix in August 2020. In a world where all the characters are different kinds of food, our hero is a slice of bread who is a master cake decorator. All the cupcakes in town come to his barbershop to have their decorations styled. Using his unrivalled skill and ingenuity, his makeovers transform the lives of his customers, who come to him with all the imaginable problems a cupcake might have. And a few unimaginable ones as well. Anyway nothing which can’t be solved by a quick makeover… or should that be cakeover?

Monster Studio is an animation studio established in July of 2015 to produce Bread Barbershop, its first project. The company was founded by Jihwan Jung, formerly with Iconix, and Hyunah Ko, formerly with Tuba Entertainment, where they participated in the production of the series Larva, Pororo and Little Bus Tayo.

Bread Barbershop debuted in Korea in 2019 on KBS and Tooniverse. There are a number of licensing deals in place for toys, games, books, food and other products. In the first year the show has 600,000 YouTube subscribers and 200m views. On TikTok they have over 1m followers and 14m likes.
