Meet Elvis & Benny, best friends who have the most amazing adventures in a fantasy world full of crazy creatures. Colourful and vibrant, featuring exciting, offbeat, fast-paced stories with an underlying moral code, this hilarious and original series, without dialogue, appeals to young adults as well as children.

Elvis & Benny live together in a lighthouse set amid a desert landscape full of shipwrecks – and endless potential for fun! Elvis is an energetic and somewhat naively reckless human boy with an iconic black quiff haircut and skull t-shirt. He’s always looking for action or the next prank and often gets himself – and others – into trouble. His friend Benny, an intelligent but lazy fish with human legs, is a true pleasure-seeker – he loves nothing more than a good book, his records, food and sleeping.

Every episode starts with a joke between Sun and Rooster, which is thematically linked to the story. Other characters include, Toucane, a strong and fiery mermaid who lives upstairs, while danger lurks from below from their deadly nemesis Sandy, a giant blue lobster rabbit monster. Also creatures such as ghosts, robot toys, and zombies inhabit Elvis and Benny’s universe, but they know that, if they’re ever in peril, their unofficial and protective mother Babette, a shapeshifting rubber duck, will come to the rescue.

Elvis & Benny is produced by Belgium studio Haptic and coproduced by Barcelona studio WKND. Haptic was founded in 2011 by Stef Wouters, who has served 30 years in TV. Stef Wouters created and produced various award winning fiction series for VRT and VTM between 1989 and 2011. He was among the first to explore the field of transmedia storytelling since 2003 and created various transmedia projects for VRT. Together with soul mate Jangojim, Stef Wouters has created various animation concepts including new series Junkyard Paradise, selected for Cartoon Forum 2019.
