In a futuristic city, there’s a high school where a handful of the students are gifted with special powers or abilities. To prevent them causing trouble in the school, the principal, a robot dog, has put them into a special club called the Hero Circle, where the other students can come to them for help. They are a diverse group of misfits with rebellious tendencies, who have enough trouble just getting along, never mind saving the day.
Hero Circle is just one of the school’s many clubs which include: gardening, science, occult, cooking, computer, manga, band, robot, detective…any of which can be the source of problems for Hero Circle to tackle, along with alien visitations, supernatural phenomena and the city’s complement of superheroes and super villains.
Hero Circle is produced by Studio TNT, a new Korean animation studio, and coproduced with Korean broadcaster EBS. Twenty six episodes launched in summer 2020 on EBS. The series also aired on the cable channel Tooniverse and other Korean broadcasters and platforms. In its first month’s release on WAVVE, one of Korea’s top streaming services, it continually ranked in the top 3.
