Junkyard Paradise is a new, fast-paced visual comedy, with no dialogue, from the producer of Elvis & Benny.
In an apocalyptic world ruled by junk there is one little paradise. There lives the lazy but smart toad Miro and his rash and hyperactive best friend Yaya. They are the defenders of the order of the Purple Pineapple. Their life is carefree and full of pleasure, but it is threatened by Doctor Wörm and his assistant dog Cyber. He wants to turn the whole world into a huge junkyard. This is the beginning of an endless stream of exciting stories.
Doctor Wörm runs the dump mountain as a dictator. He loves junk, but secretly he is jealous of the paradise of Yaya and Miro. He will try his best to destroy the paradise so no one can enjoy it. He is very good at inventing cunning plans, but rather bad at making them work. Cyber is very faithful to Wörm, but too kind for his evil plans. She can’t do bad things and acts rather naively, forever bursting into tears, which drives Wörm crazy.
Junkyard Paradise will be produced by Belgium studio Haptic. Haptic was founded in 2011 by Stef Wouters, who has served 30 years in TV.
